1) What sizes does the Nibco 834 DWV double wye come in?
Four configurations: 1-1/2 inch, 2 inch, 3 inch, and a reducing 2 x 2 x 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 inch. The reducing version takes 2 inch run pipe with two 1-1/2 inch branch inlets, which is the usual pattern for tying a pair of lavatory or tub drains into a 2 inch waste line.
2) Are the ends on the Nibco 834 wye solder cups or threaded?
Solder cups on every opening, C x C x C. They slip over copper DWV tube and get sweated with solder, so you'll need flux, solder and a torch. There's no thread anywhere on the fitting, so if the run you're tying into is threaded or no-hub, you need a transition adapter ahead of it.
3) Can I use the Nibco 834 double wye on a pressure water line?
No. It is a DWV fitting, built for drain, waste and vent service only. DWV fittings have thinner walls than pressure fittings and are not rated for supply piping. For potable water use a standard pressure-rated wrought or cast copper fitting instead.

5) Is the Nibco 834 wye copper or bronze?
Cast bronze, ASTM B584 alloy C84400, with material and workmanship to ASME B16.23. It is dezincification resistant, which matters on waste lines carrying aggressive water. It solders to copper DWV tube the same way a wrought copper fitting does.
6) Do I need a double wye or will two single wyes work?
A double wye picks up both branches at one point on the run, so it is the fitting for back-to-back fixtures sharing a wall. If your two inlets land at different points along the line, two separate 45-degree wyes are the cleaner install and give you more room between connections. The 834 only makes sense where the two branches meet the run together.
7) I need a 3 inch branch off a 3 inch line for a toilet group. Does this cover it?
Yes, the 3 inch 834 is a full-size double wye, 3 inch on the run and 3 inch on both branches. If you need reduced branches, the only reducing pattern offered is 2 x 2 x 1-1/2 x 1-1/2; there is no reducing 3 inch version, so reduce with a bushing or a smaller wye downstream instead.
