1) What wire size does the Sta-Kon C26NPM ring terminal take?
The C26NPM is built for 12 to 10 AWG conductors. Anything thinner than 12 AWG will not crimp reliably in that barrel, and 8 AWG won't enter it, so size the terminal to the actual conductor, not the insulation OD.
