1) What wire sizes does the Sta-Kon A71 ring terminal accept?
The A71 ring terminal is sized for 22 to 16 AWG stranded wire. Anything heavier than 16 AWG will not seat in the barrel, and anything finer than 22 AWG won't hold a reliable crimp, so for 14 AWG and up you need a larger barrel terminal in the same family.
2) Will the A71 ring terminal fit a 1/4 inch stud or bolt?
Yes. The A71 is built with a 1/4 inch bolt ring, so it goes over a 1/4-20 stud, terminal block screw, or ground lug of that size. On a smaller #10 or #8 screw the ring will sit loose under the washer and can rotate, so match the ring to the stud rather than relying on the washer to hold it.

5) Is the A71 suitable for aluminum wire?
No. The A71 barrel is copper and is specified for 22-16 AWG copper conductors. Aluminum conductors need a terminal rated AL or AL9CU with the appropriate inhibitor compound; putting aluminum in a copper-only barrel invites galvanic corrosion and a loose connection over time.
6) Can I solder the A71 ring terminal instead of crimping it?
