1) What wire sizes does the Sta-Kon H975 ring terminal accept?
The H975 is sized for 1 AWG through 1/0 conductors (marked 1AN-1/0). Anything smaller, like 2 AWG or 4 AWG, will not crimp reliably in this barrel, so step down to the matching smaller Sta-Kon lug for those conductors.
2) What stud or bolt size does the H975 ring tongue fit?
The ring tongue is a 1/2 inch size, so it drops over a 1/2 inch stud or bolt on a bus bar, breaker lug pad, or ground bar. It will not pass over a larger stud, and on a smaller stud the hole will float unless you add a washer.
3) Can I use the H975 lug on a 480V panel?
Yes. The H975 ring terminal carries a 600 V rating, which covers 120/208, 277, and 480 V circuits in commercial panels and motor connections.
4) Will the H975 work on aluminum conductors?
No. This is a copper tubular lug, intended for copper conductors. For aluminum or dual-rated runs you need a lug marked AL9CU or AL rated instead.
5) Is the Sta-Kon H975 insulated, and do I need to add anything after crimping?
It's a non-insulated copper tubular ring terminal, so the barrel stays bare after crimping. If the termination needs to be covered, plan on heat shrink or tape over the barrel as a separate item.

Not practically. A 1 AWG to 1/0 copper tubular barrel needs a hydraulic or heavy mechanical crimper with the correct die for that range; small hand tools made for insulated terminals won't compress it to a sound connection.
