NUVO Lighting 60-7883 – Frequently Asked Questions

    1) What bulb does the NUVO Cordello 60-7883 sconce take, and is one included?
The Cordello 1-light sconce takes a single candelabra E12 base bulb, Type B shape, rated up to 60W at 120V. No bulb ships with the fixture, so add lamps to the order. Dimming depends entirely on the lamp you choose, so if you are putting it on a dimmer, specify a dimmable candelabra lamp.
    2) Can the Cordello 60-7883 sconce go in a bathroom over a vanity or in a covered entry?
It is rated for dry locations and indoor use only, so it is not for a covered porch, an exterior wall, or any spot that sees steam or splash. Over a vanity it works only where the location genuinely stays dry, which in most bathrooms it does not. For a shower area or outdoors you need a damp- or wet-rated fixture instead.
    3) Can the Cordello 60-7883 be mounted shade up or shade down?
Yes. It is a wall-mounted sconce built to install either up or down, so you can run the glass pointing toward the ceiling for ambient wash or down for task light over a mirror or nightstand. Pick one orientation and keep it consistent across a run of openings so the building reads the same.
    4) Is this sconce listed for commercial installation?
The Cordello carries a cETLus safety listing, which covers it for both US and Canadian installation, and it is RoHS compliant. It is a 120V incandescent-technology fixture, not an integrated LED, so the lamp is field-replaceable, which is what most MRO and multi-family maintenance groups want.
    5) Does the Cordello sconce come in finishes other than vintage brass?
Vintage brass is the finish offered on the 60-7883, paired with etched opal glass. One shade, one lamp, traditional styling, part of NUVO's Cordello collection if you are matching other fixtures in the same family.
    6) Does this fixture carry a California Prop 65 warning?
Yes. The Cordello sconce is flagged for lead under California Proposition 65. That matters if you are shipping into California or specifying for a public or institutional project with Prop 65 disclosure requirements on submittals.
