NUVO Lighting 62-1662 7in, LED Disk Light, 3000K, 6 Unit Contractor Pack, Brushed Nickel Finish

The 62-1662 is 7.4 inches in diameter and only 1.28 inches tall, so it overlaps a 6 inch recessed opening and sits nearly flush to the ceiling. It is a ceiling-mounted close-to-ceiling fixture, not a recessed trim, so it mounts to the ceiling surface or to a junction box rather than dropping into the can housing.

It carries a Wet location rating, so damp and wet interior spots like a shower ceiling or a covered porch soffit are within rating. NUVO classes the fixture itself as indoor, so use it inside the building envelope rather than in fully exposed exterior locations.

Dimmable, yes. Color temperature, no. It is fixed at 3000K with no CCT selector switch, so every fixture in the pack puts out the same warm white. If you need to field-select 2700K/3000K/4000K per room, this is the wrong model.

The 62-1662 ships as a 6 unit contractor pack in brushed nickel, each fixture putting out 850 lumens at 12 watts. That is a single-pack order covering six openings, which is why it is usually bought for hallways, closets, laundry rooms, or a run of units in a multi-family turn.

It is cETLus safety listed, which covers both US and Canadian installs, and RoHS compliant. Note the California Prop 65 disclosure for lead on this fixture, which matters if your facility has a Prop 65 posting requirement.

A disk light like the 62-1662 projects only 1.28 inches off the ceiling and mounts to the surface, so it works where there is no plenum depth above the drywall, over a joist, or in a basement with ductwork. Recessed cans need housing depth above the ceiling. The tradeoff is aperture appearance: the disk reads as a 7.4 inch frosted round on the ceiling rather than a small recessed opening.

CRI is 90, which is high enough for kitchens, baths, and retail display where skin tones and finishes need to read correctly. The lens is a frosted shade, so the 850 lumens come out diffused rather than as a hot spot.

The body is steel with a brushed nickel finish, and each fixture weighs 0.79 lbs. That light a weight mounts to a standard ceiling box without extra bracing.
