NUVO Lighting 65-868-4 LED Area Light Type IV, 300W, Bronze Finish, 4000K, 277-480V

The 65-868-4 is a high-voltage fixture only, rated 277V to 480V. It will run on 277V, 347V, or 480V service, which is what you normally find on commercial parking lot and site lighting circuits. It will not operate on 120V or 208/240V, so for a 120-277V service you need the multi-volt version of the area light instead.

It ships with a 2-3/8 inch slip-fitter mount, so it slides over a 2-3/8 inch outside-diameter tenon or horizontal arm and clamps down. If your pole has a square bolt-on drill pattern or a larger tenon, you need an adapter or a different mounting version. At 12.35 lbs and 30.28 by 12.39 by 3.11 inches, it is a low-profile head that most existing site poles will carry without rework.

Output is 39,815 lumens at 4000K with 80 CRI. That puts it in the range commonly used to replace 1000W metal halide heads, since an aging 1000W MH delivers far less than its original output. The 4000K neutral white is the standard color for parking and site lighting; it is a fixed CCT, not field-selectable.

It is an outdoor fixture with a Wet location rating, so direct rain and snow exposure on an open pole or building face is fine. Safety listing is cULus certified, which covers both US and Canadian installations, and the housing is RoHS compliant. Note the California Prop 65 disclosure for lead.

Type IV throws light forward in a wide pattern away from the pole, which is why it is the usual pick for perimeter poles, building-mounted lots, and driveway edges where you do not want light spilling behind the fixture onto a property line. For poles set in the middle of a lot with cars on both sides, a Type III or Type V distribution covers better. The 65-868-4 is the Type IV version at 300W.

The fixture is dimmable, so it can be driven by an external control such as a 0-10V photocell/occupancy system for late-night setback on a lot or garage apron. The driver and LED board are integrated, so there is no lamp to replace, and no control device ships with the fixture.

Housing is die-cast aluminum, which is what handles heat sinking and coastal/road-salt exposure on a pole head. There is no relamping: the LED is integrated and rated for 50,000 average hours, so a failure means replacing the head or driver, not a lamp. For a property manager running dusk-to-dawn, that is roughly a decade of service.

Bronze is the only finish offered on the 65-868-4, which matches the dark bronze poles and arms used on most commercial sites. The manufacturer part number is 65-868-4 (also written 65/868/4) if you are standardizing a group of poles and need to reorder the same head later.
