Sta-Kon RBD14-187A NYL FLLY INS 90 DEG FEM DISC, 16-14

The RBD14-187A is sized for 16-14 AWG stranded or solid copper wire, which is why the insulation sleeve is blue. Blue is the standard color code for the 16-14 AWG range on insulated terminals, so you can confirm the size at a glance on a crowded panel without reading the stamp.

It carries UL file E66716. For an inspector or an MRO spec that requires listed terminations, that file number is what you cite on the submittal.

A flag disconnect brings the wire in at a right angle to the tab, so the conductor runs parallel to the terminal block or component face instead of standing off it. That is what you want in a shallow enclosure, behind a tight switch cluster, or anywhere a straight disconnect would force a sharp bend in the lead or push the cover out. If you have depth to work with, a straight female disconnect is easier to crimp and seat.

Fully insulated with a nylon (polyamide) sleeve that covers the barrel and the receptacle body, so there is no exposed metal once it is crimped and pushed onto the tab. Nylon holds up better than vinyl to heat and to abrasion during pull-through, which matters when terminals are bundled tight in a control cabinet.

Use an insulated-terminal crimper matched to the blue 16-14 AWG color code, not an open-barrel or non-insulated die. The nylon sleeve is meant to be crimped through, and a bare-terminal die will split it or leave the barrel under-compressed. The flag geometry also means you want a crimper with enough jaw clearance to let the receptacle sit off to the side while the barrel is in the die.
