2) How cold can it be outside and still glue CPVC with this Oatey yellow cement?
The all weather formulation is rated for application from 0 F to 110 F (-18 C to 43 C), so it will still make a joint on a winter service call. Below 0 F you're outside the recommended range and should warm the work area.
3) Is this CPVC cement rated for hot water lines?
Yes. Joints made with the Oatey 31910 yellow CPVC cement handle cold and hot water systems up to 200 F (93 C), which covers domestic hot water distribution. It's a pressure pipe cement, not a DWV-only product.
4) Is Oatey 31910 approved for potable drinking water systems?
Yes. It complies with NSF/ANSI 61 health effects requirements and meets ASTM F493, the standard for CPVC solvent cement, and it's intended for CTS hot and cold potable water pipe.
