OATEY 41604 5 ft. x 100 ft. 40 Mil Gray – PVC Shower Pan Liner Roll

Oatey calls for X-15 Bonding Adhesive and Oatey Dam Corners with this PVC liner. The corners handle the inside corner folds at the curb and the adhesive bonds seams and corner patches. Neither is part of the roll, so order them separately with the liner if you want the assembly the manufacturer recommends.

The 41604 liner meets ASTM Spec D4551 and is IAPMO Listed, which is what inspectors typically look for on a PVC shower pan membrane used as concealed waterproofing under tile.

40 mil is the standard thickness for PVC shower pan liner in residential and light commercial tile showers, and that is what the Oatey 41604 roll is. It is flexible PVC, so it folds into curb corners and drain clamping rings without cracking. If your spec sheet calls out a specific mil thickness, match it, because clamping ring drains are prepped around this class of membrane.

Yes. Oatey specifies superior cold weather characteristics for this PVC liner, so it stays pliable for folding and forming in unheated buildings and winter jobsites where a stiffer membrane would want to crack at the fold.

Order Oatey part number 41604 for the 5 ft x 100 ft, 40 mil gray PVC shower pan liner roll. UPC is 038753416045. Gray is the color on this number, so if a submittal calls for a different color liner it is a different Oatey item.

The liner is printed in 6 inch increments across the material, so you can lay it out, count increments to the pan and wall-up dimensions, and cut without pulling a tape for every piece. On a repeat-unit job that is the difference between cutting one stall at a time and cutting a stack.

A full roll runs about 150 lbs, so plan on two people or a cart to move it off the truck and into the building. Most crews cut lengths off the roll at a staging area rather than hauling the whole roll stall to stall.

It is a ready-to-use waterproofing membrane for tile showers and other concealed waterproofing applications, so it also gets used under mud beds and in similar built-up assemblies where the membrane stays hidden. It is not a finished surface product, it is meant to be covered.
