PDQ 96 Push Plate, 0.050" Thick
96 Series Push Plates, 0.050" Thick
PDQ 96 Series push plates are flat 0.050" thick plates that mount on the push side of a door to protect the door finish from hand contact and mark a clear push point. They come in 3-1/2" x 15", 4" x 16", 6" x 16" and 8" x 16" sizes.
Plates can be ordered with a cylinder or thumbturn cutout for doors that also carry a lock, and with a thru-bolt prep at standard pull centers so a pull can be mounted on the opposite side of the door.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a push plate and a pull plate?
A push plate is a flat plate with no handle, mounted on the side of the door that is pushed open. A pull plate combines a plate with an attached pull handle so the door can be gripped and opened from that side.
When should a push plate be used instead of a lockset?
Push plates and pulls suit doors that do not need locking, such as interior doors, restrooms, storage rooms or one-way traffic doors where only an open and close function is required. PDQ push plates mount on the push side and are often specified as a matched set with a pull on the pull side.
