PDQ I5207 SFIC Interchangeable Core, 7-Pin, Uncombinated
Small and Large Format Interchangeable Cores
PDQ interchangeable cores let staff rekey a door by removing the core with a control key and installing a new one, without taking the lock off the door or repinning it in place. That restores security quickly when a key is lost or stolen.
PDQ makes small format (SFIC) cores in 6 and 7-pin that swap with Best, Falcon and Arrow cores, and Schlage-format large format (LFIC) 6-pin cores. Cores come uncombinated, without springs and pins, or combinated, which includes master keying.

- SFIC cores in 6 or 7-pin, compatible with Best, Falcon and Arrow housings

- Best compatible keyways plus PDQ1, PDQ2 and PDQ3 (restricted) keyways; PDQ keyways are combinated only

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an interchangeable core?
An interchangeable core is a lock core that comes out of the lock with a control key, so a door is rekeyed by swapping the core instead of taking the lock apart. The lock stays on the door, and staff can restore security within seconds after a key is lost.
What is the difference between small format and large format interchangeable cores?
Small format interchangeable cores (SFIC) use a plug smaller than the standard 1/2" and swap with any other SFIC housing, including Best, Falcon and Arrow. Large format interchangeable cores (LFIC) use the same key families as conventional cylinders and usually fit only one manufacturer's locks. PDQ SFIC cores come in 6 or 7-pin, and PDQ LFIC cores follow the Schlage format.
Do I need a locksmith to rekey a PDQ interchangeable core?
No. Trained facility staff can remove and replace a core with a control key, without disassembling the lockset.
