The Pro-Lok wrap around plate is bored 2-1/8 inches with a 2-3/4 inch backset, which is the standard commercial prep for a key-in-knob lock or a deadbolt. If the door was drilled 2-1/8 inch bore on a 2-3/4 inch backset, the plate drops right over the existing hole and the lock reinstalls through it. Doors prepped on a 2-3/8 inch backset (common on residential openings) will not line up, since the plate's bore is fixed at 2-3/4.

It wraps a 1-3/4 inch thick door. That is the standard commercial door thickness, so it suits most apartment entry, office, and back-of-house openings. On a 1-3/8 inch door (the common older interior thickness) the wrap will be loose over the edge and the plate is the wrong part for that opening.

Stainless steel is the finish stocked. Pro-Lok builds the wrap in duronodic as well, but the stainless is the one configured here. Stainless reads as a clean bright metal against aluminum or brushed hardware; if the other doors in the building run dark bronze trim, the duronodic is the closer visual match.
