Yes, and that is the thickness it ships prepped for. The 132x70C comes with #6 x 5/8 inch OH SMS plus 1/4-20 x 2-1/4 inch thru bolts and finish washers sized for a standard 1-3/4 inch door. If your door is thicker or thinner, say so when ordering so the thru bolt length is adjusted, since the supplied bolts won't pull up correctly on anything else.
2) Is this pull plate rated for commercial traffic in a school or hospital?
It is a commercial-grade cast stainless steel unit certified to ANSI A156.6, type J405. That standard covers architectural door trim, and the cast construction with thru bolt mounting is what holds up on high-traffic institutional openings rather than a stamped screw-on plate.
3) What other cast pull plates come close to the Rockwood 132x70C's 5-1/2 inch CTC?
Two Trimco units share the same grip spacing: the 1012 cast tapered heavy duty pull plate and the 1013 round heavy duty pull plate, both at 5.5 inch CTC, so either will land on the same thru bolt spacing. If you need a slightly tighter grip, the Trimco 1010 cast pull plate is 5 inch CTC, and the 1014 half-round goes the other way at 6 inch CTC.
4) I need a wider pull spread than 5-1/2 inch center-to-center. What should I look at instead?
The 132x70C is fixed at 5-1/2 inch CTC, so it won't cover a wider existing hole pattern. The Ives 8303 heavy duty pull plate is offered with 8 inch or 10 inch center-to-center mounting, and the Ives 8302 is a heavy duty thru bolt mounted pull plate as well.
5) What finish does the Rockwood 132x70C come in, and will it match my other stainless trim?
One finish: 630 satin stainless steel, the US32D equivalent. That is the standard commercial satin stainless used on most push plates, kick plates, and levers, so it blends with existing 630/US32D hardware on adjacent openings.
6) Can I get this Rockwood pull plate with a heavy bevel edge?
Yes. Specify HVBEV on the order and the 132x70C is supplied with the heavy bevel. Buyers usually take that option where the plate edge sits in a path people brush against or where they want a softer transition off the door face.
7) Do I need a matching push plate for the other side of the door?
The 132x70C is the pull side only, so on a single-acting door you pair it with a push plate on the opposite face. For a 4 by 16 inch look on the push side, the Delaney 4 by 16 inch push plate is a same-size option we carry.

10) Is the 4 by 16 inch plate size going to look right next to a 3-1/2 by 15 inch plate on the next door?
No, it will read as a different size. The 132x70C plate is 4 by 16 inches. If your building is standardized on the smaller footprint, Delaney offers 3-1/2 by 15 inch pull and push plates, and for a matching 4 by 16 inch pull on a budget opening there is the Delaney 4 by 16 inch pull plate.
11) Is there a decorative alternative if satin stainless is too plain for a hotel or residential entry?
Satin stainless is the only finish on the 132x70C, so for a decorative opening look at the Emtek push and pull plate lines instead: Modern, Knoxville, or the lost wax cast bronze Petal pattern. Those are styled sets rather than institutional trim.
