Rockwood 90 Cylinder Pull, 1" Projection, 2" by 3-3/4" Size, 1-3/16" Diameter

The Rockwood 90 is a cylinder pull, the small cup-shaped pull that mounts on the face of a door beside or below a rim cylinder so someone can grip and pull the door closed after unlocking it. It is not a lock and it does not latch anything; it is the grip, typically used on aluminum and glass entrance doors and on sliding or pocket-type openings where a projecting handle would be in the way. It projects 1 inch off the door face, so it clears knuckles without catching traffic.

Mounting is #8 x 3/4 inch oval head sheet metal screws. That means it fastens into the door face itself, not through-bolted, so you are drilling and tapping or screwing into the stile. On a hollow metal or aluminum door that is straightforward; if you are mounting to glass or to a rail with no material to bite into, sheet metal screws will not hold and you need a different pull.

Commercial. The 90 meets ANSI A156.6, J303, which is the builders hardware standard covering architectural door trim, and the J303 designation is the classification for the cylinder pull type within it. If you are specifying to a drawing that calls for A156.6 trim, this satisfies it.

It stands 1 inch off the door face. On a pair of doors or a door swinging into a return frame, that inch is what you check against the astragal or the jamb before ordering. It is a deliberately shallow projection for this reason, less than a standard offset door pull, which is why cylinder pulls are the common choice on narrow stile aluminum entrances where clearance is tight.

It will if the rest of your trim is 630 or US32D satin stainless. The 90 ships in that finish on a stainless substrate, which is the standard commercial spec across Rockwood push plates and pulls, so it reads the same as the plates on the neighbouring openings. Where it will not match is a bronze or brass opening; the 90 is offered in the satin stainless finish only.
