2) Do I have to pull the barrel out of the cylinder to repin with the Sargent 436-1 top loading system?
No. That is the point of the top loading design. The cylinder body is dovetail cut at the top so the pin slides peel off from above, and the barrel stays in the cylinder body. It cuts a step out of every repin compared with tearing the plug and barrel down.
3) What actually comes in the Sargent 436-1 kit?
Three things: a staking block, a staking tool, and 100 6-pin slides. That is enough to start repinning the day it lands on the bench, no separate slide order needed to get going.
4) I run 7-pin Sargent cylinders. Does the 436-1 kit cover those, or do I need to order something else?
The kit ships with 6-pin slides only. For 7-pin cylinders you order the 7-pin slides separately, part number 13-1797. Refill 6-pin slides are part number 13-1341 when the original 100 run out. The staking block and staking tool in the kit are the tools; the slides are the consumable.
5) Is the Sargent 436-1 a one-time install tool or something a shop keeps restocking?
