One part number covers five color temperatures. A selector on the fixture sets 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K, so you stock a single item and set warm white in apartments and 4000K in a corridor from the same box. Wattage is fixed at 12W with 840 lumens regardless of which temperature you choose, so light output does not shift when you change the setting.

Gimbaled, so the optic pivots inside the trim to throw light off axis. That is what you want over artwork, a sloped ceiling, or a wall wash along a corridor. A fixed downlight only points straight down, so if the ceiling is flat and you just need general light, the non-gimbal version of the same size costs you nothing in performance. The aiming range itself is set by the fixture geometry, not something you adjust at the housing.

The fixture is dimmable and runs on 120V at 60Hz line voltage. It is not a 0-10V or low voltage product, so it wires to a standard forward or reverse phase wall dimmer on the 120V feed. As with any LED at 12W, a dimmer with a low enough minimum load matters more than the brand of the fixture.

California T24 listed, which is what an inspector looks for on residential and many commercial projects in that state. It also holds cETLus listing and is FCC compliant and RoHS compliant, the three things a spec reviewer usually checks together on a recessed LED.

You do not relamp it. The LED is integrated with no socket, rated at 50,000 average hours. On a corridor burning 12 hours a day that is over 11 years before rated end of life, which is the whole argument for putting these in a building where a lift and a two person crew is the cost of changing one lamp. When it does fail, the fixture comes out, not a bulb.

White only, one orderable configuration under part number S11624R1. If a project needs black or brushed nickel trims to match existing openings, this is not the item to standardize on. For a building already running white trims, the single part number is an advantage, since one SKU covers all five color temperatures and both wet and dry locations.
