    It's built for 4 inch recessed openings. The trim ring measures 5.69 inches in diameter and the housing depth behind it is 2.75 inches, so you need at least 2-3/4 inches of clear plenum above the ceiling and the 5.69 inch flange will cover a nominal 4 inch cut opening.
    2) Can I use this LED downlight in a shower or over a bathtub?
