1) Does the Satco S8746 GU24 LED PL lamp work with my existing CFL ballast?
No. The S8746 is a Type B, ballast bypass lamp, so it runs on line voltage directly. If the GU24 socket in your fixture is wired to a ballast, that ballast has to be removed and the socket rewired to line voltage before the lamp will work. It accepts 120V to 277V at 50/60Hz, so it covers both residential and commercial circuits.
2) Can the Satco S8746 be used on a dimmer switch?
No. This 8W GU24 PL lamp is non-dimmable and not three-way capable. On a dimmer or a three-way socket it can flicker, buzz, or fail early. For dimmed spaces you need a lamp specified as dimmable; put this one on a standard on/off switch circuit.
3) Will a GU24 twist-lock LED PL lamp fit a fixture with a G24q or GX23 pin base?
No. The S8746 has a bi-pin GU24 twist-and-lock base, which is a different base from the G24q/G24d four-pin and two-pin plug-in CFL bases. It only drops into a GU24 socket. If your can or wall pack has a pin-type CFL socket, you need either a PL lamp with that matching pin base or a socket change.
