1) Will the Satco S9383 MR16 fit my existing GU10 track heads, or do I need a new fixture?
It drops straight into a GU10 socket. The S9383 uses a bi-pin GU10 twist-lock base and runs on 120V line voltage at 60Hz, so it goes into the same track heads and recessed trims that take a 120V halogen GU10 MR16. If your fixtures are low-voltage GU5.3 two-pin MR16s running off a 12V transformer, this is the wrong lamp.
2) Can I use this LED MR16 in an enclosed or airtight recessed can?
Yes. The S9383 is an enclosed rated lamp, so it can go in a sealed or airtight recessed housing without voiding the lamp rating. It is also damp location rated, which covers covered porches, bathrooms and similar. It is an indoor lamp, so don't put it in an open, unprotected exterior fixture.
3) Is the Satco S9383 a direct swap for a 50W halogen MR16?
That's the replacement it is built for. At 6.5 watts it is rated as a 50W incandescent equivalent and puts out 500 lumens, so you cut load from 50W to 6.5W per head with comparable output. Draw is 0.054A, which is what lets you put far more heads on an existing 120V circuit than halogen allowed.
4) Is the Satco S9383 GU10 LED dimmable?
Yes, it is a dimmable lamp. It is not a three-way lamp, so it won't step through levels in a three-way socket.
