Schaub 5118A 18" Center to Center Pub House Appliance Pull

The Schaub 5118A is an 18 inch center-to-center appliance pull from the Pub House collection, contemporary in style, solid brass, with 2 inch projection and 19-1/4 inch overall length. If the kitchen wants a different profile in forged solid brass, Omnia's modern cabinet pull series cover several shapes: the Omnia 1968/102 at 4 inch center-to-center, the Omnia 1969 and Omnia 1971 at 1-3/16 inch projection, and the Omnia 1970 at 1-1/4 inch projection. Those are cabinet-scale pulls rather than 18 inch appliance lengths, so match them to door and drawer fronts and keep the 5118A for the refrigerator or panel-ready appliance.

The 5118A stands 2 inches off the face of the door, with a 3/4 inch bar. That leaves roughly 1-1/4 inches of clear knuckle space behind the grip, which is comfortable for a bare hand and workable with a light glove on a refrigerator or panel-ready freezer front.

You can, but it is a heavy-handed choice. At 18 inches center to center with a 2 inch projection, the Pub House 5118A is sized for refrigerator, freezer, and panel-ready appliance fronts. For drawers and standard doors, a shorter cabinet pull in the same contemporary style fits better, for example the Omnia 1968/102 at 4 inch center to center or a Trimco 562 Series drawer pull in 3-1/2 inch, 4 inch, or 96mm.

Within what we carry, the Omnia 1969, 1970, and 1971 are forged solid brass modern pulls with projections of 1-3/16, 1-1/4, and 1-3/16 inches respectively, so they sit tighter to the door face than the 5118A's 2 inch projection. Matte Black (MB) is one of the five Pub House 5118A finishes, along with Polished Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Polished Nickel, and Signature Satin Brass. All five are over solid brass, so a chipped powder finish will not expose a rusting steel substrate, which is worth something on a turnover-heavy property.
