Schaub 5124A 24" Center to Center Pub House Appliance Pull

The 5124A uses 1/4 inch thread screws, which is the heavier appliance-pull thread rather than the 8-32 used on standard cabinet pulls. If you are replacing an existing appliance pull, confirm the panel is tapped or bored for 1/4 inch fasteners, and match screw length to your panel or door thickness.

Projection is 2 inches, which puts the bar far enough off the face for a full-hand grip, the point of an appliance pull. The bar itself measures 3/4 inch, so it is a substantial round section rather than a thin wire bar. In a tight galley or next to a return wall, check that 2 inches of projection clears adjacent doors and drawers when they swing.

The Schaub 5124A is sized for appliance panels: 24 inch center to center with a 25-1/4 inch overall length and a 2 inch projection. For ordinary cabinet doors and drawers, short center-to-center pulls are the right family. The Deltana SBP35 is a modern square bar pull at 3-1/2 inch in solid brass, the Omnia 1968/102 is a forged solid brass modern pull with 4 inch center-to-center spacing, and Trimco offers the 553 Series drawer pull at 3 inch center to center and the 562 Series in 3-1/2 inch, 4 inch, and 96mm center-to-center options. Any of those cover the cabinet boxes while the 5124A handles the appliance fronts.

Solid brass through the body, not tubular steel with a coating. On a 25-1/4 inch appliance pull that matters, because the span sees full body weight every time someone opens a heavy refrigerator panel, and brass stock resists the flex and dent you get from thin-wall steel bars.

Five: Polished Chrome (PC), Brushed Nickel (BN), Matte Black (MB), Polished Nickel (PN), and Signature Satin Brass (SSB). All five are the Pub House collection finishes, so if you are specifying cabinet pulls and knobs from the same collection elsewhere in the kitchen, the appliance pull will read as part of the same set.

Cabinet knobs are the common mis-pick. The Orca Bachelor Collection CK-15030 round knob and CK-16030 round ring knob are 1-1/4 inch diameter, and the Blackcomb CK-17025 square knob is 25mm diameter. Those are single-point knobs with no center-to-center span, so none of them fill the two-hole 24 inch pattern the Schaub 5124A uses. Short drawer pulls such as the Trimco 553 Series at 3 inch center to center are the same problem at a smaller scale - correct hardware, wrong hole spacing for an appliance front.

Pub House is styled contemporary, a clean round bar with square-ish mounting posts rather than any cast detail. In Matte Black or Polished Chrome it reads modern; in Signature Satin Brass it works in a transitional kitchen without looking period. If you need a purely modern square profile instead, the Deltana SBP35 is a square bar pull in solid brass, and Omnia's 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1971 series are forged solid brass modern pulls.

The 5124A is the 24 inch center version of the Pub House appliance pull. Specify by center-to-center to match your appliance panel bores, and order all of them in one finish code so the Polished Nickel on the fridge is the same Polished Nickel on the dishwasher. Mixing plated finishes across production runs is where these installs usually go wrong, not the drilling.

They are different parts. The Schaub 5124A is a solid brass appliance pull at 24 inch center to center with 1/4 inch thread screws. The Orca CK-12001 is a T-pull bar in the 12-Bar Pull series with a 2 inch bar width, built in steel with a satin nickel finish. If you need solid brass and a five-finish range including polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, polished nickel and Signature Satin Brass, the 5124A is the one to specify; the Orca part is a steel pull in a single finish.
