672 Series TouchBar

The 672 Series TouchBar is a high-performance request-to-exit device designed to release electronic locking devices, most commonly electromagnetic locks, when the bar is depressed. Prominent "PUSH TO EXIT" signage provides clear exit indication for building occupants, and the simplified design allows the signage to be reversed in the field. The pivoting bar design activates with just 1/4" of movement, while the slim 2-1/4" low profile offers ample door clearance—significantly less projection than comparable devices in the industry.

1) Does the Schlage 672 TouchBar lock the door, or is it only a release switch for a maglock?
It is a switch, not a latch.
