Metallics HKHL13I – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Metallics HKHL13I a hex key set in inch sizes or metric?
Inch sizes. The Metallics HKHL13I is a 13 piece Hex-L key set in inch (SAE/fractional) sizes, so it drives inch socket-head and set screws. If your fasteners are metric, this set is the wrong one.
2) How many keys come in the Metallics HKHL13I set, and is it sold as one set?
Thirteen keys, and it ships as a single set (1 pc) under part number HKHL13I. One order gets you the complete 13 key inch-size Hex-L lineup, not an individual wrench.
3) What is a Hex-L key and what is it used for on electrical work?
A Hex-L key is an L-shaped hex wrench: the short leg gives you leverage in tight spots, the long leg gives reach and speed. The Metallics HKHL13I set covers the inch hex sizes used on socket set screws found in lugs, connectors, mechanical terminals, and panel hardware, which is why it is carried as an electrical fastener tool rather than a general shop item.
4) Are there different versions of the Metallics HKHL13I to choose from?
No options to specify. The HKHL13I comes one way, as a single 13 piece inch-size Hex-L key set, so there is no size, finish, or pack choice to make when ordering.
