Metallics HKEF9I1 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Metallics HKEF9I1 key set metric or inch (SAE)?
Metric. The HKEF9I1 Ergo-Fold set carries metric hex keys, so it will not match inch/SAE socket screws. If your fasteners are inch sized, you need a separate SAE fold-up set.
2) What comes in the Metallics HKEF9I1 Ergo-Fold key set?
The HKEF9I1 is a 7 piece folding hex key set in metric sizes, sold as one set (1 pc) rather than loose keys. The individual key sizes are not given in the product record, so if your job calls out a specific metric size, verify it against the set before you rely on it for that fastener.
3) Do I get one key or the whole folding set when I order HKEF9I1?
Ordering HKEF9I1 gets you the complete 7 key folding tool, counted as one piece. The 1 pc unit of measure refers to the assembled set, not a single key, so one line item equips one tech.
4) Is this Metallics fold-up hex key set meant for electrical work?
Yes. Metallics catalogs the HKEF9I1 as an electrical trade item alongside its screws and fasteners, so it is aimed at electricians driving metric socket set screws, such as the set screws on lugs, connectors, and fittings. The folding body keeps all seven keys on one handle, which suits panel and ladder work better than loose keys.
