Metallics HKEF6M – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Is the Metallics HKEF6M a metric or inch hex key set?
Metric. The HKEF6M is a 6 piece Ergo-Fold hex key set in metric sizes, so it drives metric socket set screws and cap screws rather than SAE/inch fasteners. If your fasteners take inch keys, you need the inch version of the Ergo-Fold set instead.
2) How many keys come in the Metallics HKEF6M set, and is it sold as a single unit?
Six keys, all folded into one Ergo-Fold handle, and it ships as one set per unit (1 pc). You are buying the complete folding tool, not individual loose keys.
3) What is a folding hex key set good for compared to loose Allen wrenches on a job?
The Ergo-Fold design keeps all six metric keys captive in one handle, so nothing gets dropped in a panel or lost in a bag, and the handle gives you more leverage than a bare L-key. Loose keys still win when you need to reach a set screw in a tight enclosure where the folding body will not clear, or when you want to chuck a ball-end key in a driver.
