For #6 through #10 sheet metal and device screws you want a #2 point instead, and a #3 in those heads will cam out and chew the recess.
3) Is the 160P3B a long bit for reaching into deep boxes or recessed screws?
It is 6 inches overall, which is a power-bit length rather than a 1 inch insert bit. That extra reach is what gets you down into a deep junction box, through a recessed panel opening, or past a strut channel lip without putting the chuck against the work. If you only need to drive flush-surface screws, a 1 or 2 inch insert bit gives you better control.
