Sure-Loc SA-PH1 26 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Is the Sierra Series paper holder rated for commercial restrooms or just homes?
Sure-Loc classifies the Sierra Series paper holder as residential. It suits primary baths, guest baths, powder rooms and multi-family units, but for a high-traffic public restroom you want a commercial-grade holder instead.
2) What is the closest single-post alternative to the Sure-Loc Sierra Series paper holder?
The Sure-Loc Sierra Series Single Post Paper Holder uses a single-post design, and the same configuration is available from Deltana as the 55D2001 single post holder in the 55D Series and the BBN2001 single post holder in the BBN Series, both described as single post. The Deltana 55D2001 is solid brass. If the goal is matching the rest of a bathroom, the Sierra holder is intended to coordinate with other Sure-Loc bath hardware such as towel bars, rings, and robe hooks, so a Deltana swap breaks that family match.
3) I want a double post holder instead of a single post - what should I order?
The Sure-Loc Sierra Series holder is a single-post design, so it will not give you a two-post cradle. For that configuration, the Deltana 98C2001 is a Classic double post toilet paper holder in the 98C Series, made of solid brass. Double post holders hold the roll on a spring pin between two mounted posts, which is a different wall layout than a single-post arm.
4) What is the difference between a single post and a double post toilet paper holder?
A single post holder like the Sierra mounts one arm with an open end, so you slide the roll straight on without removing a bar. A double post design, such as the Deltana 98C2001 Classic double post holder, carries the roll on a spindle between two mounted arms. Single post is quicker to reload; double post holds the spindle captive.
5) I need a paper holder with a plastic roller tube instead of a bare post. What do you have?
The Sierra is a single post, no tube. For a roller tube design look at Orca Hardware: the 2752 in the Cypress Series and the 4852 Blakely both use a plastic tube. Orca also does euro-style holders, the 3655 Swirl and the 5255 Ripple.
6) Will the Sierra paper holder match other Sure-Loc bath accessories?
Yes, that is the point of the Sierra Series. It is built to coordinate with the rest of the Sure-Loc Sierra bath hardware, including towel bars, robe hooks and rings, so a whole bath or several baths in the same house can be specified from one design line in one finish.
7) What is the difference between the Sure-Loc Sierra single post holder and the Emtek bar style paper holders?
The Sure-Loc Sierra Series holder mounts the roll on a single post. Emtek's bath hardware paper holders are bar style, which carries the roll on a removable bar spanning two supports - so they are not a drop-in replacement for a single-post arm. Emtek offers the bar style across several design lines, including Modern Brass, Traditional, Transitional, and Sandcast Bronze bath hardware, if you are matching an existing Emtek trim family.
8) For a rental turnover where the roll gets replaced constantly, is there a simpler holder than the Sure-Loc Sierra?
The Sure-Loc Sierra Series Single Post Paper Holder is a residential-classified accessory that suits multi-family units and remodels. If you prefer the traditional plastic-tube roller instead of a single post, Orca Hardware offers the 2752 toilet paper holder with plastic tube in the 27-Cypress Series and the 4852 Blakely toilet paper holder with plastic tube in the 48-Blakely Series. The plastic tube spring roller is a replaceable wear part, while the single post has no moving roller at all.
9) I need a euro-style open paper holder rather than the Sure-Loc Sierra - what are the options?
The Sierra Series holder from Sure-Loc is a single-post design within a coordinated residential bath hardware line. For a euro-style holder instead, Orca Hardware offers the 3655 Swirl Euro toilet paper holder in the 36-Swirl Series and the 5255 Ripple Euro toilet paper holder in the 52-Ripple Series. Those are decorative euro profiles rather than the plain single post, so confirm the styling matches the rest of your bath trim before ordering.
10) The Sure-Loc Sierra holder comes in satin nickel and polished chrome - what if I need an oil-rubbed or bronze look?
The Sure-Loc Sierra Series Single Post Paper Holder is offered in 15 Satin Nickel and 26 Polished Chrome. For a darker bronze aesthetic, the Emtek Sandcast Bronze Paper Holder in the Sandcast Bronze bath hardware line is a bronze-family option, though it is a bar style rather than a single post, so the roll loads differently and the mounting footprint is not the same.
11) Does the Sierra paper holder need any wiring or power?
No. It is a purely mechanical accessory, listed as non-electronic, so there is no wiring, transformer or battery involved. Mounting hardware and wall anchoring is the whole install.
