Sure-Loc VR-PH1 26 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What finishes does the Sure-Loc Vlora single post paper holder come in?
Four finishes: 15 Satin Nickel, 26 Polished Chrome, FBL Flat Black, and SB Satin Brass. Those same finish codes run across Sure-Loc's Ridgecrest collection, so if you are matching towel bars or robe hooks already installed in the unit, order the paper holder in the same code rather than matching by eye.
2) Is the Vlora paper holder rated for commercial restrooms or just homes?
It is a residential-grade bath accessory. For a public or high-traffic commercial restroom, specify a commercial washroom accessory instead. Apartments, condos and other multi-family units are fair game, since those are still residential-duty openings.
3) What is the closest single post equivalent to the Sure-Loc Vlora paper holder from another brand?
The Sure-Loc Vlora Series Single Post Paper Holder uses a single post design, and two Deltana models share that same arrangement: the Deltana 55D2001 single post holder in the 55D Series, built in solid brass, and the Deltana BBN2001 single post holder in the BBN Series. Either one holds the roll on one post the same way the Vlora does, so roll changes work identically. The difference is styling family - the Vlora belongs to Sure-Loc's Ridgecrest collection, while the Deltana units follow their own series design language.
4) Single post vs double post toilet paper holder, which should I use?
A single post holder like the Vlora is open on one end, so the roll slides on and off without pulling the whole bar out, which is the faster change in a rental turnover. A double post design holds the roll on a pivoting bar captured at both ends, which is harder to knock loose but slower to reload. If you want that style, the Deltana 98C2001 is a classic double post in solid brass.
5) What are the alternatives to the Sure-Loc Vlora if I want solid brass?
Sure-Loc's Vlora is a residential Ridgecrest-styled holder. If solid brass construction is the requirement, Deltana's single post options are the ones to look at: the 55D2001 in the 55D Series and the BBN2001 in the BBN Series, both single post, plus the 88DTPH from the 88 Series. All are listed as solid brass except the BBN, where construction is not part of what sets it apart.
6) I'm outfitting a whole bathroom, will the Vlora holder match other Sure-Loc accessories?
Yes, as long as you stay in the Vlora series within Sure-Loc's Ridgecrest collection. That collection is built so towel bars, rings and hooks carry the same profile and finish codes as the paper holder, which is what you want across a master bath or a run of identical apartment units.
7) What is a good alternative if I want a bar style paper holder rather than a post?
A bar style holder spans the roll on a rail between two mounting posts instead of a single open arm. Emtek offers that format in four design families: the Modern Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style, the Transitional Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style, the Traditional Brass Paper Holder - Bar Style, and the Sandcast Bronze Paper Holder - Bar Style. The Sure-Loc Vlora Series unit is a single post design, so pick the Emtek bar style if the bath hardware suite you are matching runs on that look.
8) For a multi-family turn package, what alternatives come with a roller tube included?
The Sure-Loc Vlora Series Single Post Paper Holder is a single post unit, so the roll slides directly onto the post with no tube. If your unit turns call for a spindle style holder with the tube supplied, the Orca Hardware 2752 in the 27-Cypress Series and the Orca Hardware 4852 Blakely in the 48-Blakely Series both include a plastic tube. Orca also lists two Euro style holders, the 3655 Swirl and the 5255 Ripple, if you want the same brand across a property but a different profile.
9) I am specifying bath accessories for a heavy-traffic commercial restroom - is the Vlora the right call?
The Sure-Loc Vlora Series Single Post Paper Holder is designated for residential use and is aimed at bathrooms, powder rooms, guest baths, and multi-family residential units rather than heavy public restroom duty. If the project is residential or multi-family, it fits; for a different construction basis, the Deltana 55D2001 and 88DTPH holders are built in solid brass, and Emtek's Sandcast Bronze Paper Holder - Bar Style is a cast bronze bar style unit.
10) Do I need power or wiring for the Sure-Loc Vlora paper holder?
No. It is purely mechanical, with no electronic components, so it mounts to the wall with hardware only, no rough-in for power and no low-voltage run.
11) My client wants a Euro style paper holder - does the Sure-Loc Vlora fit that look?
The Sure-Loc Vlora Series Single Post Paper Holder follows the Ridgecrest collection styling and is offered in Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome, Flat Black, and Satin Brass. For a Euro profile specifically, the Orca Hardware 3655 Swirl Euro Toilet Paper Holder in the 36-Swirl Series and the Orca Hardware 5255 Ripple Euro Toilet Paper Holder in the 52-Ripple Series are the ones carrying that designation.
