The Trimco 1064/1065 Series Pulls are classically designed for pocket doors. For use with notched pocket doors, these pulls are perfect for closets, hallways, bedrooms and bathrooms. An integrated edge pull enables easy access when the door is closed into the pocket, and the 1065 Privacy version adds a locking feature for bathroom and bedroom applications and includes an emergency turn button on the outside. Pre-assembled from the factory, these pulls are easy to install and are available in a variety of architectural finishes.

1) Does the 1064 need a notched pocket door, or can I put it on a plain slab?
The 1064 is made for notched pocket doors. The pull body sits in a cutout in the face of the door and the integrated edge pull sits in a notch at the leading edge, so the door has to be prepped for it. On an unprepped slab you cut the prep first. A plain flush cup pull with no edge pull is the option if you don't want to notch the door edge.
2) How do you grab a pocket door once it has rolled all the way into the wall?
That's what the integrated edge pull on the 1064 handles. The face cup gets the door moving, and the edge pull recessed into the leading edge of the door gives you something to hook a finger on when the door is closed into the pocket and the face of the door is out of reach. It's one assembly, so you aren't buying and prepping a separate edge pull.
3) 1064 or 1065 for a pocket door bathroom?
Use the 1065 for a bathroom. The 1064 is passage only, just pulls and no lock. The 1065 is the privacy version: it adds a locking feature and includes an emergency turn button on the outside so the room can be opened from the corridor side. For closets, hallways, and bedrooms where nobody needs to lock the door, the 1064 is the correct pick.
4) What finishes does the Trimco 1064 pocket door pull come in?
Nine finishes: 605 bright brass, 606 satin brass, 613 oil rubbed bronze, 613E dark oxidized satin bronze, 619 satin nickel, 620 blackened satin nickel, 622 matte black, 625 bright chrome, and 626 satin chrome. Those are BHMA finish codes, so if the levers and hinges on the rest of the opening are specified as 626 or 613, ordering the same code on the pull keeps the suite matched.
5) Does the Trimco 1064 pocket door pull have to be ordered left hand or right hand?
No handing to specify. The 1064 is field reversible, so one part number covers doors pocketing to either side. For a property manager doing a floor of units with pockets running both directions, that means a single line item rather than splitting the order by hand.
