The 1260W is sold as a wall stop and holder with the strike included, so you get both halves of the assembly: the wall-mounted stop/holder body and the strike that mounts on the door face to engage it. Mounting hardware is wood and machine screws, which covers both a wood-blocked wall and a metal substrate. What is not in the box is any wall blocking or anchor for hollow drywall, so if there is no stud or backing behind the stop location you will need to add it.

Both are 1260 Series stops and holders, but the 1260W mounts against the wall and catches the door where the wall is close behind it. 8) Do I need a template to lay out the Trimco 1260W, and how do I get the strike aligned with the stop?
Trimco publishes a template that covers the 1260W together with the 1261, 1263, 1265 and 1267, template number T18929. Use it to set the strike location on the door face against the stop location on the wall, because the two have to line up in the same plane for the holder to catch.
