Gauge. All three are mop plates 6 inches high or less; the KM038 is .038 inch material, the KM050 is .050 inch, and the KM064 is .064 inch. The KM064 is the thickest of the three, which is the one to pick for high-abuse openings like school corridors or service doors where carts and mop buckets hit the bottom rail daily.
2) Do I need a mop plate or a kick plate at the bottom of the door?
A mop plate goes on the pull side, low on the door, to take mop and bucket damage from floor cleaning. A kick plate goes on the push side where feet and carts hit. Anything going on a labeled fire door assembly should carry that option.
6) What material is the Trimco KM064 mop plate and does it come with screws?

Trimco's protection plates are made in the USA in stainless steel, bronze or brass, and fasteners ship with the plate in packaging that separates the screws from the plate face so the finish is not scratched in transit.
