No. The PBT8000-2-23 is cut for the Precision Hardware Apex 2000 device on a 4 foot door. For a Von Duprin 98/99 you need the -1 versions: PBT8000-1-18 for a 36 inch device or PBT8000-1-24 for a 48 inch device. Same series, different bar profile, so they are not interchangeable.
2) Which PBT8000 cover do I order for a 3 foot Precision Apex 2000 exit device?
The -2-23 is the 4 foot Apex 2000 cover. For a 3 foot Apex 2000 device order PBT8000-2-19, and for a 2 foot 6 inch device order PBT8000-2-13. Match the cover to the device length, not the door width, and Trimco also does custom lengths.
3) Is the antimicrobial surface on the Trimco PBT8000 a coating that wears off with traffic?
No. The bactericidal property is in the material itself, not a surface coating, so it does not wear away under push traffic. That is the difference between this and a sprayed or applied antimicrobial treatment on a high-use egress door.
