No wiring at all. The Trine 215 entry/exit signal kit runs on three L1154 batteries, which come in the box, and the contacts mount with the supplied adhesive tape. That makes it a practical option for a leased suite, a storefront back door, or any opening where you can't run cable or don't want to disturb the frame.
2) How does the Trine 215 door signal kit tell you someone came through the door?
A normally open magnetic contact switch triggers the unit when the door or window opens. You choose how it responds: a chime tone if you just want to know someone walked in, or a 105 dB alarm if you want it to be heard and to deter. There's also an on/off switch so you can kill it during business hours and arm it after close.
3) Is the Trine 215 a real security alarm or just an entry chime?
It's a standalone annunciator, not a monitored security system. There's no panel, no keypad, no dialer, and no connection to central station. It sounds locally, either as a chime or at 105 dB, and that's the whole function.
