The Trine 4850-SS is the 1/4 inch spacer that sits behind a 4800 Series strike to bring the strike further out from the frame, and it is a replacement part rather than a strike. If the opening needs the strike itself, the 7400A is a strike body kit; if an already installed 4800 Series strike needs to stand further off the frame or needs its spacer replaced, that is the 4850-SS.
3) How much does the 1/4 inch Trine spacer plate move the strike out from the frame?
One quarter inch. That is the full adjustment from a single 4850-SS, so if your strike needs to come out further than 1/4 inch to meet the latch, one spacer alone will not close the gap.
