Available in brushed aluminum, black, bronze and white, and two sizes, this fixture has a factory sealed light engine and is Wet Location listed to weather the elements.

1) Is this WAC Caliber sconce OK for an exposed exterior wall that gets rain?
Yes. The WS-W36610 is Wet Location rated with an IP65 seal and a factory sealed light engine, so direct rain and wind driven spray are fine. It is also listed for indoor use, which lets you run the same fixture down a covered walkway and out onto an open elevation.
2) Does the Caliber WS-W36610 throw light up and down, or just one direction?
The 10 inch WS-W36610 is the single light version, so it puts out one flood beam from one end of the cylinder. Mount it vertically or horizontally to aim that wash up, down, or sideways. If you need light going both up and down from one box, that is the double light 36614 configuration in the same Caliber family.
3) What dimmer do I need for the WAC Caliber LED sconce?
An electronic low voltage (ELV) dimmer. The Caliber's driver dims smoothly and continuously on ELV and is not intended for a standard incandescent or MLV control, so spec the ELV dimmer up front rather than swapping it after the fixtures flicker at low end.
4) Is the WAC Caliber wall light ADA compliant for a corridor or entry?
Yes, the WS-W36610 is ADA compliant, and it is also Title 20 and Title 24 compliant for California projects. Body is aluminum with a white diffuser lens over the glass shade.
5) Can I change the bulb in the WS-W36610 later, or is the LED fixed?
The LED is integrated and the light engine is factory sealed, so there is no lamp to replace. It is rated for an average 72,000 hours at 735 lumens and 3000K warm white, which is why the sealed engine is the tradeoff for wet location performance.
6) How much wall does the WS-W36610 take up?
The fixture is 10 inches by 4.5 inches, mounting on a 4.5 by 5.5 inch backplate. That is the compact single light Caliber; a taller size is offered in the same collection if you need more presence on a large elevation.
