1) Can the WAC Glo FM-214 flush mount run on 277V commercial circuits?
Yes. The Glo FM-214 ships with a universal input driver covering 120V, 240V and 277V, so the same fixture can go into a 277V commercial corridor or a 120V residential hallway without a separate part number. It is a hardwired fixture, not plug-in.
2) How do I change the color temperature on the Glo FM-214, and can I do it after it's installed?
There's an on-board 5-CCT selector switch inside the fixture. Twist off the acrylic diffuser and flip it to 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K or 5000K. WAC states the switch can be reached before, during, or after installation, so a property manager can match a whole floor's existing lamping without pulling the fixture off the ceiling.
3) Will the FM-214 work as a wall sconce, or is it ceiling only?
Both. The Glo FM-214 is listed for ceiling or wall surface mounting, so it can go up as a flush ceiling fixture in a corridor or turned on a wall as a sconce in a stairway. It is ADA compliant, which matters for wall mounting in a path of travel, and at 4 inches of projection off the surface it stays within the shallow profile those locations want.
4) Is the FM-214 OK in a bathroom or a covered exterior entry?
It carries a Damp location rating, ETL and cETL listed in the US and Canada. That covers a bathroom ceiling, a laundry or utility room, and a covered exterior soffit or porch. It is not rated for wet locations, so skip any spot taking direct rain or spray.
5) What dimmer should I spec with the WAC Glo FM-214?
Use an electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmer. WAC lists the fixture as dimmable on ELV and TRIAC controls specifically; a standard incandescent-only or magnetic low voltage dimmer is the wrong pairing and is where flicker and drop-out complaints come from on integrated LED flush mounts.
6) Does the FM-214 meet California Title 24 and Energy Star for a multifamily job?
