1) Can the WAC FM-05SQ flush mount be installed in a shower or over a tub?
Yes, within a damp-rated wet area. The FM-05SQ is damp location rated with a dead front trim specifically called out for shower applications, and the housing is injection molded UV rated plastic with a translucent diffuser. Damp rating covers a shower ceiling or a covered porch where the fixture sees humidity and splash, not direct spray or immersion.
2) Will the WAC FM-05SQ work outside on a covered porch or in a coastal installation?
It is rated Indoor/Outdoor (Covered), so a soffit, covered porch or breezeway is the right application, not an exposed eave with weather blowing onto it. WAC calls it suitable for outdoor and coastal regions, and the UV rated plastic body is what makes that hold up. The aluminum base and the plastic enclosure are the reason it survives salt air better than a painted steel drum fixture.
3) How much of the ceiling does the FM-05SQ take up and how far does it drop down?

4) Where does the driver go on the WAC FM-05SQ, and will it fit in my existing junction box?

6) Do I order 3000K or 3500K on the WAC FM-05SQ?
Both are stocked, and the color temperature is fixed at the part number, so it is decided when you order, not on site. 3000K reads as warm white and matches most residential and hospitality trim; 3500K is neutral and blends better with commercial corridors and office areas already running 3500K or 4000K troffers. Ordering codes carry it: FM-05SQ-930-WT is 3000K white, FM-05SQ-935-WT is 3500K white. Match whatever is already in the adjacent openings, since two temperatures in one corridor is obvious.
7) Does the WAC FM-05SQ meet California Title 24 and Energy Star for a spec job?
