1) Can the WAC Faulkner WS-W35114 wall sconce mount to an existing pancake junction box?
Yes. The Faulkner 14 inch sconce is 120V AC LED with no separate driver or transformer, so it fits on a pancake junction box. It is hardwired, and the backplate measures 5 inches, so make sure your box and any existing mounting pattern sit within that footprint.
2) Is the Faulkner LED sconce rated for a wet location like an unprotected entry or a coastal breezeway?
Wet location rated, with an IP65 seal and ETL/cETL listing, so it can go on an exposed wall with direct rain. It is approved for indoor use as well, so the same fixture can carry a covered porch and an interior hall on one spec.
3) Will the WAC Faulkner sconce dim on the dimmers already in my building?
It dims on electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmers, smooth and continuous. A standard incandescent/magnetic-only dimmer is not the right control for it, so if your existing wall boxes are old rotary or slide incandescent dimmers, plan on swapping them for an ELV or TRIAC model.
4) Does the 14 inch Faulkner sconce meet California Title 24 and ADA requirements for a multi-family entry?
Yes on both. The Faulkner is listed Title 24 compliant and Title 20 compliant, and ADA compliant, which matters where the sconce sits in a corridor or along an accessible route. It is also Dark Sky, so it works where downlight-only cutoff is required by local ordinance. It is not Energy Star.
5) How much wall does the 14 inch Faulkner cover, and will it fit beside a standard entry door?
