Yes. The 18 inch Faulkner is built to mount over a pancake junction box, and its backplate measures 6.38 by 6.38 inches, so it covers a standard round box opening. It is a hardwired fixture, so wiring has to be brought to the box.
2) Can the Faulkner WS-W35118 be installed in an exposed, unsheltered location?
Yes. It carries a Wet location rating and an IP65 rating along with ETL and cETL listings, so direct rain and splash exposure are acceptable. It is rated for indoor use as well, so the same fixture works on a covered porch, breezeway, or interior corridor.
3) Does the WAC Faulkner outdoor sconce work on 277V building power?
As supplied it is a 120V AC fixture with the LED driver electronics onboard, so no remote driver or transformer is needed. 277V and 240V versions exist only as a special order, so a 277V lighting branch circuit needs that version rather than the standard one.
