Simple, clean and efficient. The Slide LED Path Light reworks a classic wall sconce into an architectural Landscape Path Light work of art. The unique geometric shape appears to curve slightly away from the base. Energy efficient LEDs create a dynamic ambient downlight, resulting in a dramatic effect any landscape. This path light is powered by bright long lasting integrated LED's and can conveniently tap into any existing 12V landscape lighting system. Factory sealed and water tight with an IP66 rating for protection against high-pressure water jets and outdoor elements. Casted using a special k-alloy aluminum that is engineered to withstand the most challenging environments over time. Solid brass coated in bronze (-BBR finish) may be available for enhanced protection against corrosive elements and is recommended for use in coastal or marine environments. 1) Can the WAC Slide 6321 path light run off my existing 12V landscape lighting system?
Yes. The Slide 6321 is a 12V fixture with an input range of 9-15V AC, so it taps straight into an existing low voltage landscape run. It draws 3W (4.5VA), which is what you add to your transformer load calculation. It does need a magnetic or electronic power supply, sold separately, so if you are starting from scratch budget for a transformer as well as the fixture.

For salt air, WAC notes that a solid brass version coated in bronze (the -BBR finish) is recommended for coastal or marine use because of its corrosion resistance. The orderable configuration is the 3000K bronze, 6321-30BZ, so if you are specifying for a shoreline install confirm you are getting the brass -BBR construction rather than the aluminum.
4) Will the WAC Slide LED path light dim, and what kind of dimmer does it need?
Dimming is MLV only, meaning a magnetic low voltage dimmer on the transformer side gives smooth continuous dimming. It will not behave correctly on an ELV or standard incandescent dimmer.
