Eclipse LED 12V Path and Area Light 3000K

Simple, clean and efficient. This WAC landscape lighting path and area light offers an elegant option for outdoor path and area lighting for both homes and commercial spaces. This path light is powered by bright long lasting integrated LED's and can conveniently tap into any existing 12V landscape lighting system. Factory sealed and water tight with an IP66 rating for protection against high-pressure water jets and outdoor elements. Casted using a special k-alloy aluminum that is engineered to withstand the most challenging environments over time. Solid brass coated in bronze (-BBR finish) may be available for enhanced protection against corrosive elements and is recommended for use in coastal or marine environments. 1) Can the WAC Eclipse 6031 path light run off my existing 12V landscape lighting system?
Yes. The Eclipse 6031 taps into any existing 12V landscape run. Input is 9-15 VAC, 50/60Hz, and it holds constant lumen output as voltage drops down the line, so fixtures at the far end of a long run stay as bright as the first one. You still need a transformer: a magnetic or electronic power supply is required and is sold separately.
2) What comes in the box with the WAC 6031 path light, and what do I still have to buy?
Each Eclipse 6031 ships with a 9 inch mounting spike and a 3 foot lead wire with two gel filled direct burial wire nuts, so the fixture itself is ready to stake and splice into the run. Not included: the 12V power supply, and the heavier duty Guardian Spike 9000-SP9-BZ if you want a more durable mounting than the standard spike. Other mounting and glare control accessories are also separate.
3) Is the WAC Eclipse 6031 path light okay for a coastal or marine property?
The standard 6031 is cast from a k-alloy aluminum built for harsh environments, but for salt air WAC calls out the solid brass version coated in bronze, the -BBR finish, as the recommended choice for corrosive coastal and marine settings. If the site is oceanfront, specify brass rather than the aluminum black or bronze.
4) Will the WAC 6031 survive irrigation spray and pressure washing?
It is factory sealed and water tight with an IP66 rating, which covers high pressure water jets, not just rain. Sprinkler heads throwing directly at the fixture and crews washing down a walkway are both within that rating. It is UL and cUL 1838 Listed and rated for wet locations.
5) Can the WAC Eclipse 6031 be dimmed?
Yes, smooth and continuous dimming, but only on a magnetic low voltage (MLV) dimmer. Pair the dimmer with the 12V supply feeding the run; the fixture itself has no onboard dimming control.
6) What color temperature and finish options does the Eclipse 6031 path light come in?
The 6031-30 is the 3000K warm white version, offered in Black on Aluminum (6031-30BK) and Bronze on Aluminum (6031-30BZ). WAC builds the Eclipse in 2700K as well if you are matching an existing warmer scheme. CRI is 90 across the line, so plant and hardscape color reads accurately.
7) How many WAC Eclipse 6031 path lights can I put on one transformer?
Size the transformer on wattage. Each Eclipse 6031 draws 5.8W, listed at 9.4VA, so use the VA figure when you total the run and leave headroom per standard landscape practice rather than loading a transformer to its nameplate. Rated life is 60,000 hours, so the count you set now is the count you maintain for a long time.
8) How bright is the WAC 6031 path light, and is it enough for a commercial walkway?
Output is up to 150 lumens, delivered at 125lm, from an integrated high powered LED behind a translucent lens that spreads the light evenly rather than throwing a hot spot. That is a typical path light level: good for edging a walkway, entry, or planting bed at normal spacing, not a substitute for an area floodlight over a parking surface.
