1) Can the Carafe pendant be installed on a covered porch or in a bathroom?
Yes, within limits. The Carafe pendant is damp location rated and IP44, which covers a covered porch, a soffit, a breezeway, or over a tub area where it won't take direct water. It is not wet rated, so do not hang it where rain or spray hits it directly.
2) Will the WAC Carafe pendant work on 277V commercial power?
It will. The driver is universal input, 120V, 240V or 277V, and it sits concealed inside the canopy, so the same part number works on residential 120V and on 277V commercial branch circuits without a separate transformer. It is a hardwired fixture, ceiling mounted, with a 5.88 inch backplate diameter to cover the outlet box.
3) What kind of dimmer do I need for the Carafe LED pendant?
Use an electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmer. Standard incandescent/magnetic low voltage dimmers are not the right control for this driver, and pairing the wrong one is the usual cause of flicker or a limited dim range. Spec the dimmer with the fixture at 29.3W when you size the load on a multi-pendant run.
4) Does the WAC Carafe pendant meet California Title 24?
Yes, the Carafe pendant is Title 24 compliant, which is what matters for California residential and commercial lighting permits. It is not Energy Star listed and it is not Title 20 listed, so if your spec calls specifically for either of those, this is not the fixture. It is ETL and cETL listed for US and Canadian use.
5) Can the bulbs be replaced in the WAC Carafe pendant?
No. The Carafe is an integrated LED fixture, so there is no socket and no lamp to change. The LED array is rated 50,000 average hours, and at end of life the fixture or its LED module is replaced rather than relamped. Worth knowing before you standardize on it for a property where maintenance staff expect to swap bulbs.
6) How much light does the 16 inch Carafe pendant actually put out, and what color is it?
1090 lumens at 29.3 watts, 3000K warm white, with a flood beam spread. That is accent and ambient level output, not a task light. Over a kitchen island or a restaurant table you'd typically run two or three of them on a run rather than relying on one. Custom color temperatures are available by special order.

No. The Carafe is not ADA compliant, which is expected for a suspended pendant. For corridors, stairwells, and other circulation paths where ADA protrusion limits apply, use a surface or recessed fixture instead, or keep the pendant mount height and location outside the protected path.
