This even line of light is a functional piece of minimalist art that is packed with versatility. Use Parallax as a bath vanity light or as an accent on your wall available in a 17in or 23in size. NEW: Tri-CCT technology features a switch inside the canopy that is accessible during installation and allows you to toggle color temperatures between 2700K Warm - 3000K Warm White - 3500 White to find and set the perfect color temperature for your space. This fixture is factory pre-set to a default setting of your choosing (30 in part number for 3000K, 27 in part number for 2700K, etc.) for consistency and can be easily modified in the field during installation by the flip of a switch.

1) Can the WAC Parallax vanity light be installed pointing up instead of down?
Yes. The Parallax LED bar mounts to the wall and can be oriented up or down, and it can be run vertically alongside a mirror or horizontally above it. That flexibility is why it gets used both as a vanity light over a sink and as a wall accent in a corridor.
2) Do I need a special junction box for the WAC Parallax LED wall light?
No. It runs on 120V AC LED technology with no separate driver or transformer, and it mounts over a standard pancake junction box. The backplate is 5.75 inches long, so plan your box location within that footprint. 277V and 240V versions exist only as special order.
3) Will the WAC Parallax work on my existing dimmer?
It dims with electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmers. Standard incandescent/magnetic low voltage dimmers are not the right match. If you are replacing an older incandescent vanity bar, budget for a dimmer swap, since a 6W load will not hold on most legacy dimmers.
4) Is this WAC vanity light rated for a shower or a wet area?
It carries a Damp location rating and an IP44 rating, so it is fine for bathroom walls, over a vanity, or a covered exterior spot. It is not a wet-location fixture, so keep it out of direct shower spray and out of uncovered exterior positions.
5) Is this WAC Parallax fixture ADA compliant for a commercial restroom?
No, it is not ADA compliant. Projection off the wall matters in accessible corridors and restrooms, and this one is not rated for it. For an ADA-governed wall location, specify a fixture listed as ADA compliant instead; over a vanity where the mirror or counter already protects the wall path, it is usually a non-issue.
6) Is the 17 inch Parallax bright enough to be the only light over a bathroom mirror?
Output is 271 lumens from a 6W integrated LED behind a white etched acrylic diffuser, with a flood distribution. That is soft, even face lighting rather than a room's primary light source. In a full bath, pair it with a ceiling fixture or use two bars flanking the mirror; in a powder room or as a corridor accent it can stand alone.
7) Can the LED be replaced when it burns out on the Parallax wall light?
No. The LED is integrated, one light source, supplied with the fixture and not a replaceable lamp. Rated life is 54,000 hours, so for an MRO or multi-family program treat it as a fixture replacement item rather than a relamp item.
8) Does the WAC Parallax meet California Title 24?
It is listed as Title 24 compliant and Title 20 compliant, and it is ETL and cETL certified for US and Canadian installations. It is not Energy Star rated, so if your rebate program requires Energy Star specifically, this will not qualify.
