Simple, clean and efficient. The Tiki Path Light provides a wide sweep of light in a minimalist design that will blend into any landscape. Both the dome-shaped shade and stem are made out of a durable die-cast aluminum. This path light is powered by bright long lasting integrated LED's and can conveniently tap into any existing 12V landscape lighting system. Factory sealed and water tight with an IP66 rating for protection against high-pressure water jets and outdoor elements. Casted using a special k-alloy aluminum that is engineered to withstand the most challenging environments over time. 1) Can the WAC Tiki 6041 path light be added to an existing 12V landscape lighting run?
Yes. The Tiki 6041 is a 12V fixture that taps into an existing low-voltage landscape run, with an input range of 9-15V AC. It ships with a 36 inch lead wire and two gel-filled direct burial wire nuts, so you splice straight into the run cable. A magnetic or electronic power supply (transformer) is not included and must be ordered separately if you are starting a new system.
2) What do I need to order besides the Tiki 6041 fixture itself to finish the install?
The fixture comes with a 9 inch mounting spike, a 36 inch lead wire, and two gel-filled direct burial wire nuts, and the LED is integrated so there is no lamp to buy. What you add is the low-voltage power supply (magnetic or electronic, sold separately) and the run cable. For firmer ground mounting WAC's Guardian Spike 9000-SP9-BZ is a separate item, and other mounting and glare-control accessories are also sold separately.
3) Will the Tiki 6041 path light hold up in a coastal or salt-air property?
For coastal and marine sites, specify the solid brass version coated in bronze (the -BBR finish), which WAC recommends for corrosive environments. The standard casting is a k-alloy die-cast aluminum built for harsh exposure, but brass is the choice near salt air. The fixture is factory sealed and water tight at IP66 and wet location rated either way.
4) Is the Tiki 6041 approved for wet outdoor use and does it meet California Title 24?
The Tiki path light is UL and cUL listed to 1838 for low voltage landscape lighting, IP66 rated, and wet location rated for outdoor use. It is also flagged Title 24 compliant and ADA compliant. It is not Energy Star rated.
5) How tall is the Tiki path light and how wide does the shade spread?
The Tiki stands 22.13 inches overall with a 6.56 inch diameter dome shade. That is a taller path light than most, so it throws a wider sweep of light down onto the walk and spaces further apart along a path than a short bollard-style head. Figure the 9 inch spike below grade on top of the fixture height.
6) Can the WAC Tiki 6041 be dimmed?
It dims, but only on a magnetic low voltage (MLV) dimmer, which gives smooth continuous dimming. It will not dim correctly on a standard incandescent or ELV/TRIAC LED dimmer, so match the dimmer to the transformer type when you spec the system.
7) What color and output does the Tiki 6041 LED put out, and will it match other warm landscape fixtures?
The integrated LED runs 2700K with a CRI of 90, so it reads as the same warm tone as typical warm-white landscape and incandescent-replacement fixtures. Output is listed at 260 lumens with the description citing up to 225 lm from the 6.5W engine (9.5VA). Rated life is 60,000 hours, which keeps relamping out of the maintenance cycle entirely since the LED is not replaceable.
8) Is the included 9 inch spike enough for mounting the Tiki, or do I need a harder mount?
The included 9 inch spike is fine for ordinary planting beds and soft soil. In high-traffic turf, compacted ground, or anywhere the fixture gets bumped, step up to the WAC Guardian Spike 9000-SP9-BZ, sold separately, for a more durable mount. Other mounting accessories are also separate items. The fixture is not reversible-mount, so it installs stem-up as a path head only.
9) How many Tiki 6041 fixtures can I put on one low-voltage transformer?
Each Tiki draws 6.5W, listed at 9.5VA on the 12V circuit. Size the transformer off the VA figure and keep total load under its rated capacity with headroom for voltage drop on long runs. Both magnetic and electronic power supplies work with this fixture, but if you want dimming the transformer has to be magnetic so it pairs with an MLV dimmer.
10) Does the Tiki path light have a glare shield or a diffused lens?
Light passes through a frosted glass lens under the die-cast dome shade, which softens the output rather than throwing a bare hot spot. The dome itself blocks upward light and directs it down across the walk. If you need tighter control at eye level, WAC sells glare control accessories separately.
