1) Does the WAC Tiki 6841-CS path light work with a standard 12V landscape transformer?
No. The Tiki 6841-CS is built for WAC's Colorscaping system and has to be wired to a patented WAC Colorscaping Power Supply, offered in 150W (8150CS-TRN-SS) and 300W (8300CS-TRN-SS). A conventional 12V magnetic transformer will not drive the color tuning. Worth noting the Colorscaping supplies will also run basic 12V landscape fixtures, so you can put the Tiki and plain path lights on the same run.
2) Can the Tiki 6841-CS be installed near the ocean without the finish failing?
The -BBR version is solid brass coated in bronze, which WAC recommends specifically for coastal or marine environments. Brass does not rust, and the bronze coating adds protection against salt air. It is IP66 and rated for wet locations, so direct rain and irrigation spray are fine.
3) What mounting hardware comes with the WAC Tiki landscape light, and what do I still need to buy?
It ships with a 9 inch ground spike, a 3 foot lead wire, and two gel-filled direct burial wire nuts, so the fixture-to-cable splice is covered. The LED module is integral and included, so there is no lamp to buy. What you supply is the low-voltage landscape cable and a WAC Colorscaping power supply.
4) How many Tiki lights can I run off one Colorscaping power supply?
Each Tiki draws 12W (18.5VA) at an input of 9-15V AC. Divide your supply's capacity by the 18.5VA figure and leave headroom for wire loss: the 150W unit supports roughly eight fixtures, the 300W unit roughly sixteen, before any other loads on the run.
5) Can I set the Tiki to a plain warm white instead of a color?
Yes. The Tiki tunes continuously from 2700K to 6500K, so you can hold it at a warm 2700K for everyday path lighting and only use the color range when you want it. Control is through the myWAC iOS or Android app, per fixture or in groups.
6) Will these dim, and do they work with a wall dimmer?
Dimming is smooth and continuous down to 10 percent, but it is done through the Colorscaping power supply and app, not a wall switch at the fixture. The listed dimming types are MLV and APP. Plan the control at the transformer location.
7) Is the Tiki approved for commercial exterior use, and what is the service life?
It is UL and cUL 1598 listed, IP66, and wet-location rated, which is the combination most commercial exterior specs call for on low-voltage landscape fixtures. The LED is rated at 50,000 hours. It is a hardwired fixture, not plug-in, so it needs to be tied into the low-voltage run. Energy Star is not held on this model.
8) Can I add Tiki fixtures to an existing WAC Colorscaping system later?
Yes. Because every Tiki is addressed individually in the myWAC app and powered from a Colorscaping supply, you can add fixtures to a run and control them singly or as a group alongside what is already installed, as long as the supply has VA capacity left for another 18.5VA load per fixture.
9) Is the Tiki 6841-CS a narrow path light or does it wash a wider area?
Flood distribution, through a frosted glass lens, which is why WAC calls it a path and area light rather than a path-only fixture. It spreads light across walkway edges, pool decks, patios, and driveway aprons rather than throwing a tight pool at the base.
