1) Can the WAC Nouveau WS-65323 sconce be mounted horizontally, or does it have to hang vertically?
Either way. The Nouveau LED sconce can be mounted on the wall in any orientation, so you can run the 22.75 inch dimension vertically beside a mirror or turn it horizontally above one. The fixture is 22.75 inches by 5 inches, with a 21.75 inch backplate covering the box.
2) Do I have to order a specific color temperature of the WAC Nouveau sconce, or can I change it on site?
You can change it on site. Tri-CCT means a switch inside the canopy, reachable during installation, toggles between 2700K warm, 3000K warm white and 3500K white. It leaves the factory pre-set at 3000K. Orderable part numbers are WS-65323-27-BK, WS-65323-30-BK and WS-65323-35-BK in black, but the field switch is what actually sets the output, which is handy when you are matching a color temperature already running in the space.
3) What voltage does the WAC WS-65323 Nouveau sconce run on? I have a 277V commercial circuit.
277V is fine. The driver is universal input, 120V, 240V or 277V, and it is concealed in the canopy, so the same part number works on residential 120V and on commercial 277V lighting circuits. It is a hardwired fixture, not plug-in, so it needs a junction box behind it. Draw is 27.2W.
4) Will the WAC Nouveau LED sconce dim on my existing dimmer?
Only on an ELV (electronic low voltage) dimmer. That is what this fixture is rated for, and on an ELV control the dimming is smooth and continuous. A standard incandescent/TRIAC wall dimmer left over from the old fixture is not the right control here, so budget for an ELV dimmer swap on each circuit.
5) Can I use the WAC Nouveau WS-65323 in a bathroom or a covered exterior entry?
Yes on both, within limits. It carries a damp location rating and an IP44 rating alongside ETL and cETL listings, so it suits a bathroom and covered outdoor areas like a porch or soffit. It is not a wet location fixture, so keep it out of direct rain, shower spray and uncovered exterior walls.
6) Is the WAC Nouveau sconce ADA compliant for a corridor?
No. The Nouveau LED sconce is not ADA compliant, and at 5 inches wide it projects past the 4 inch limit for objects mounted between 27 and 80 inches above the floor in a circulation path. For corridors, stairwells and public egress routes, specify an ADA-rated sconce instead. It is fine in guest rooms, over vanities, or anywhere outside the protruding-object zone.
7) Can the LED be replaced in the WAC Nouveau sconce, or is the whole fixture disposable?
The LED is integrated, not a socketed lamp, so there is no bulb to change and nothing to stock as a spare. Rated life is 50,000 hours. For a property running these 12 hours a day that is roughly 11 years before the array reaches rated life, which is why maintenance staff should treat this as a fixture swap rather than a relamp.
8) What is the light output like from the WAC Nouveau sconce, and is the LED visible?
2050 lumens from a single integrated LED array, with a flood distribution rather than a tight beam. The light is edge lit through an etched acrylic diffuser, so you see a lit surface rather than diodes. Body is aluminum with the ribbed bar stack over the backplate.
