No. The Drake 5 inch sconce uses an AC LED engine, so it wires straight to line voltage over a standard junction box with no remote transformer or driver. It runs on 120V and draws 16W. A 277V version is available by special order.
2) Can the Drake LED wall sconce be used in a bathroom over a shower or tub?
It carries a Damp location rating and an IP44 rating, so it is fine for a bathroom including covered or splash-prone areas, but not for a fully wet location such as a direct open-air exposure. It is ETL and cETL listed.
3) What dimmer works with the WAC Drake WS-25014, and will a standard incandescent dimmer work?
Use an electronic low voltage (ELV) dimmer. The integrated AC LED is specified for ELV control and gives smooth continuous dimming on one. A standard forward-phase incandescent/TRIAC dimmer is not the specified control type and can cause flicker or drop-out.
4) How much wall space does the 5 inch Drake sconce take up, and will it work beside a mirror?
