1) Can the WS-36022 Melrose be installed in a shower area or over a steam shower?
It is damp location rated with an IP44 rating, so it is fine for a bathroom with normal shower humidity and for covered outdoor locations like a porch ceiling overhang. It is not wet rated, so do not mount it inside a shower enclosure or anywhere it takes direct spray.
2) Does the Melrose WS-36022 work on 277V commercial circuits?
Yes. The driver is universal voltage, 120-240-277V, and it is concealed inside the canopy, so the same part number works on a 120V residential branch circuit or a 277V commercial lighting circuit without a separate transformer. That makes it easy to standardize one fixture across apartment units and common-area corridors.
3) What dimmer do I need for the WAC Melrose LED vanity light?
Use an electronic low voltage (ELV), TRIAC, or 0-10V dimmer. Those three control types give smooth continuous dimming. A standard incandescent or magnetic low voltage dimmer is the wrong control and is a common cause of flicker and buzz on this kind of integrated LED fixture.
4) Does the WAC Melrose WS-36022 meet California Title 24 for a bathroom remodel?
