1) Can the WAC Sirius PD-81124 pendant mount on an existing pancake junction box?
Yes. The 120V driver sits inside the low-profile canopy, so the Sirius mounts to a standard or pancake junction box with no remote driver location to find. The canopy backplate is 9 inches across, so make sure you have that much flat ceiling around the box. It is a hardwired ceiling-mount fixture, not a plug-in.
2) Will the Sirius LED pendant work on my existing dimmer?
It dims on electronic low voltage (ELV) or TRIAC dimmers, smooth and continuous. A standard incandescent leading-edge dimmer that is TRIAC based will work; 0-10V and DALI controls will not. If you are standardizing a building on one control type, spec ELV.
3) Can the Sirius pendant go in a covered porch or a bathroom?
It is damp location rated and IP44, which covers a covered porch, a soffit, an enclosed patio, or a bath area out of the direct spray. It is not rated for wet locations, so keep it out of open, unprotected exterior positions. The fixture also carries ETL and cETL listings for US and Canadian work.
4) What finishes does the 24 inch Sirius pendant come in, and do they all use the same light output?
Four finishes: Aged Brass (PD-81124-AB), Brushed Aluminum (PD-81124-AL), Black (PD-81124-BK), and White (PD-81124-WT). All four are built as 3000K, so mixing finishes across a room or a lobby will not give you a color mismatch between fixtures.
5) Is the 24 inch Sirius bright enough to be the main light in a room, or is it accent only?
It puts out 3480 lumens at 49W, warm white 3000K, and throws both up and down through silicone diffusers on the top and bottom edges of the ring. The uplight bounces off the ceiling for ambient fill while the downlight covers the surface below, so a single 24 inch unit works as the primary source over a dining table or a conference table rather than as an accent.
6) Do I need to order lamps for the Sirius pendant, and can the LEDs be replaced later?
No lamps to buy. The LEDs are integrated behind the silicone diffusers and ship with the fixture, rated 50,000 hours average. There is no socket or bulb base, so the light source is not field-replaceable the way a lamped pendant would be. Spec it where a 50,000 hour service life fits your maintenance cycle.
7) Does the Sirius pendant meet California Title 24 for a residential lighting job?

The body is aluminum with white silicone diffusers forming the glowing edges, suspended on adjustable electrified aircraft cable. The cable carries the power, so there are no separate dangling supply wires alongside it, which is the main visual difference from a conventional cable-hung pendant.
10) Should I use the 24 inch Sirius or the 18 inch version?
The Sirius ring comes in 18 inch and 24 inch diameters. The 24 inch, at 3480 lumens, suits a larger island, a dining table, or an open entry where one fixture is doing the work. Step to the 18 inch where the surface below is narrower or where you are hanging a row of them and want spacing between rings.
